AI Consultant Melbourne
Practical AI consulting for small and mid-sized businesses
Most businesses already use AI. Someone on the team has ChatGPT open, someone else pays for a tool nobody logs into, and nobody has written down what is safe to paste in. We sort that out. A senior consultant maps where your time goes, picks the tools that fit, sets the rules and trains your people, then helps you put it into practice.
- AI Opportunity Audit from $1,500
- Monthly advisory from $1,500/month
- Free 30-minute strategy meeting
- Since 2006
- No lock-in contracts
- One client per industry
Everyone uses AI differently. Nobody checks what goes in or out.
The right tools, written rules and a review step.
Why businesses bring in an AI consultant
AI is already in most businesses. It just arrived without a plan.
Everyone is using AI differently
Staff paste customer details into free tools, results vary from person to person and nobody checks the output.
Paying for tools nobody uses
Subscriptions bought after a good demo, then left untouched.
No idea where to start
Every vendor says AI will change your business. None of them say which task to start with.
AI consultant vs doing it yourself vs a software vendor
The difference is who picks the tools, who writes the rules and who your team learns from.
| Topic | Doing it yourself or a vendor | An AI consultant |
|---|---|---|
| Who picks the tools | Doing it yourself or a vendor:Whoever finds one first, or the vendor’s own product | An AI consultant:Vendor-neutral, matched to the work you actually do |
| Data and privacy rules | Doing it yourself or a vendor:Usually none, or the vendor’s terms | An AI consultant:A written AI use policy for your team |
| Training | Doing it yourself or a vendor:Videos, trial and error, or how to use one product | An AI consultant:Your team, on your real tasks |
| What you pay | Doing it yourself or a vendor:Staff time, or licence fees often charged per seat | An AI consultant:A fixed fee or a monthly retainer, no lock-in |
What our AI consulting includes
Advice you can act on, from the same senior people who use these tools in our own agency every day.
Audit and plan
- An AI opportunity audit: we talk to the people who do the work and map the tasks they repeat every week
- A clear list of where AI helps in your business, and where it does not
- A 90-day roadmap: quick wins first, bigger projects scoped with cost and an estimate of time saved
Tools and rules
- Vendor-neutral tool selection across ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Make and Zapier
- A check of what you already pay for first: many Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace plans now include an AI assistant
- A plain-English AI use policy: what can go into which tool, and who reviews what before it goes out
- Account settings that keep your business data out of model training
Lock-in contracts
We earn the work every month. Stay because it’s working, not because you’re tied in.

We run our own agency on AI
We don’t just advise on AI. We use it every day, with a person in Melbourne signing off everything a customer sees. That is the same model we set up for you.
Research
Market, competitor and customer-question research pulled together before a person sets the strategy.
Data analysis
Search Console, analytics and crawl exports read faster, with anomalies flagged for a person to check.
Reporting
Monthly report figures assembled automatically, so the consultant’s time goes into what they mean.
Keyword clustering
Thousands of search terms grouped by topic and intent, then checked by a consultant.
First drafts
Outlines and rough drafts only. Nothing a customer reads goes out without a person writing or checking it.
Website builds
Templates, components and test pages generated, then adapted and reviewed page by page before launch.
Every one of these has a person accountable for the result. See how we use AI, and where we don’t.

What does an AI consultant do?
An AI consultant works out where AI can save your business time or money, recommends the right tools, sets rules for using them safely and trains your team. We also help you put the plan into practice, or build it for you through our AI integration service.
How much does AI consulting cost in Melbourne?
Our AI Opportunity Audit starts from $1,500 and Monthly AI Advisory starts from $1,500 a month, with no lock-in. The half-day Team AI Workshop is priced per team. We quote a fixed price after a free 30-minute strategy meeting.
Do we need technical staff to use AI?
No. Most of the gains for small and mid-sized businesses come from everyday tools used well. We set them up and train the people who will use them.
Which AI tools should a small business use?
It depends on the work and on what you already pay for. Many Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace plans now include an AI assistant, so we start there before recommending anything new.
Is it safe to put customer data into AI tools?
It depends on the tool, the plan and the settings. Business plans from the major providers generally let you keep your data out of model training, but you need to check the terms and set them up correctly. We do that as part of your AI use policy, working to the Australian Privacy Principles. We are not lawyers, and we will tell you when you need one.
Will AI replace my staff?
That is not how we approach it. We take repetitive tasks off your people so they spend more time on the work that needs them: customers, quoting and judgement calls.
Can you implement it as well as advise?
Yes. Our AI integration service builds the automations, assistants and website chat your roadmap calls for.
Do you run AI training for teams?
Yes. The half-day Team AI Workshop runs on your own tasks, in person in Melbourne or online. If your team needs search skills too, see our SEO training.
